Patient Private Room Tower Designed for Comfort and Healing

On February 4, 2014, SRMC opened its new $42.5 million patient private room tower, designed to provide a state-of-the-art healing environment. The 169,000 square foot tower features 87 private patient rooms on three floors, with amenities centered around the needs of our patients and their loved ones.

Enhancing the Patient Experience

Patient care is provided on three floors, encompassing 87 private patient rooms:

First Floor: 10 rooms for the Intensive Care Unit and 17 rooms for "step down" cardiac care
Second Floor: 30 rooms for surgical patients, with four of the rooms designed to also accommodate the unique needs of pediatric patients
Third Floor: 30 rooms for medical/surgical patients

Each private room features its own bathroom and shower, a high-definition flat screen television, wireless internet access and a sleeper sofa for those wishing to stay overnight. In addition, the rooms are "acuity adjustable," which means that heart monitoring technology can
be added or removed based on a patient's changing condition.

Fifteen rooms are equipped with ceiling lifts, making it safer for caregivers to
move bariatric patients from their beds.
